I have been a fan of the Halo series from the start and this looks to be quite interesting. Its unfortunate though that one must purchase M$'s
limited, and overpriced console to enjoy Halo 3 and these new games...

luckily I have a x360. patman give it some time time and the price will drop to $300.

Yeah, around the time of the launch for the X360 2 LOL.

I guess I'm the exception to my generation, I never found Halo anything amazing, granted I like the story line; I mean the gameplay was nothing groundbreaking. Everybody claiming the 2nd was so great because of the dual wield.....com'on, give me a break, I've had that since Goldeneye.

The only thing that really impressed me about halo at the time it was released was the quality of the graphics, not so much the gameplay, but the eyecandy. However, we all know that too much candy and not enough meat makes for a sick gamer

Halo was a solid game fresh story and not too shabby graphics but it was and still is nothing new everything in it has been done before. The idea that MS was going to hold the H3 release back so they can bring it out the same time as the PS3 was a laugh! I cant see joe bloggs who has waited so long for a PS3 to go to the shops and then go "fck me! H3 is out, well sod me waiting ages for the PS3 I will get a Xblock!"

Any games with slick graphics on the new Xbox or Playstation are likely to be a bit simplistic. So much time and money goes in to the appearance, they can't narrow the target audience by making the gameplay too complex. If they did the cost of the game would be $100 or more in the shops.

That shouldn't prevent them from having good storylines, though. The new Final Fantasy for PS3 will surely have a good storyline.
