I wonder why this is news? I think we all already know they screwed things up. I highly doubt they will get it right...it's far more useful for them as a marketing tool...Duke Nuke'm: Forever in Development is the full Title, after all

I don't know why they don't just use an existing game engine and come up with a good story line.

They cannot. I'd rather they didn't...and so would the majority of DN fans. I'd rather see a completely new engine, with the same old game/levels/new AI. Not a direct port, but pretty damn close!


Heh. However, TBH, it seem that DX10 would be the proper way to go for a new engine. Currently there are a few DX10 engines, but, sadly, there is a huge lack of hardware support. In all terms of reality, it would make far more sense for such a thing to not arrive to the masses until at least mid-next-year, after DX10 hardware has a bit more market saturation. At that point, you'd better have console ports too....

Oh Wow! It has acceleration and dynamic lighting! Pah, we had that in FarCry! And only 18 Songs, pfffffffffffffffffffffffffffftttttttt with a capital "pffff". Ear numbing? Does this also mean "headache inducing"?

I remember a few smart arses started taking pre-orders for this a while back.

By while back, I don't really remember when, but I was still hoping to get an optimus prime transformer for my birthday that year...

Funny enough, I just found out in EBGames yesterday that STALKER: Shadows of Chernobyl was released, another long awaited game, and one that I in fact /DID/ preorder, back in 2006. I don't even have the foggiest clue who I preordered it /with/ though, so collection doesn't seam imminent...

Mind you I'm still waiting on my Optimus Prime too...

Anyone played stalker yet?

As far as I'm concerned Far Cry is the sequel to Duke Nukem...
Jacks snappy attitude, monsters, large weapons...
If they every finish Duke Nukem Forever it would probably look alot like Far Cry.
