I would say that it isn't a 65nm die, smaller die six makes chips cheaper to produce, and MS wouldn't pass that up. They wouldn't artificially keep the chip the exact same size to benefit cooling.

The change in power circuit doesn't really mean anything as far as die size is concerned.
