Crysis: DX9 vs DX10 footage Uploaded to AOA Files. File can be found here It's only a 33mb download, but it should show everyone the clear differences between DX9 and DX10. DX10 is so hawt.

I cannot see for the life of me how the difference between those scenes can possibly warrant an upgrade to your PC equivalent almost to buying a PS3.

But does that difference warrant a £220 new Video Card and £100 on Vista? I am not so sure.

Agreed. I think I'd like to make sure my hardware is up to date first. But for me, personally, Crysis does not present enough on its own to me to justify upgrading.

Not bad, doesn't justify the cost of the card though does it?

You can get an 8600GTS for a little more than a 7900gs at the moment, DX10 isn't that expensive. The question is how well any midrange card whether DX9 or 10 can hold out in Crysis, from my experience with Lost Planet I am not too optimistic.

Crysis will look better on DX10. In every single aspect, textures, soft shadows.... it'll be better. I am very curious how much speed would it sacrifice for the goodies. |

glad I got vista and my 8800's for it if the engine is SLI compatable as well I will laugh all the way back from the shops
