WoW is actually quite interesting in that the day you stop playing, you really miss it, but you forget about it very quickly. Its a shame smoking isn't that easy to quit.

The hardest part is the guilt trip that people put on you, particularly in my case since I'm a heavily geared up Holy/Disc priest, and it becomes "If you don't turn up, the whole team can't go". No other classes have to deal with that sort of thing, since DPS and tanking classes are a dime a dozen, but such is the life of a powerful and reliable healer.

100% agree with you there.

2 Hours a day is NOT addiction. Heck, i play over 7 hours a day at times. The difference between "Overplaying" and "Addiction" is that an addict can't stop doing it because they feel that their life will crumble without it. Overplaying is where you have the desire to play it a lot, but you could stop at any point in time providing you have a reason worthy of stopping. I am an overplayer. I make things like this:

World of Warcraft
Binds on Pickup
£9.99-15.99
(£12.99 DPS)
Equip: Makes you want to explore this new life
Use: Makes you "addicted" to that new life

Whereas an addict wouldn't "waste" their time being that "creative". AMA, i /spit on your theory.

Let's put this on wheels everyone can ride. I spend more time on pot than two hours a day!! ( I do it for pain, and when not in pain, I do it for me. If I had a Doctor with a spine I could get pot free for my chronic pain. But Doctors have advocated there role as physicians to the nation to the pharmacological interests and a ignorant and spite filled government that can't seem to mind it's own business.

2 hours a day? People who take Heroin that often are chipping, not addicts! There a real good chance that half the mothers of people in this thread are addicts by this measure.

Also by this standard, one could argue that my mother is ebay addicted, and tupperware addicted. Lets institutionalize her before the gamers.

Tupperware addiction has been ending marriages, and driving blokes to suicide since the 1950s, something needs to be done about it... first off lets think up a name for it that frightens people and sounds good in court.

The cows in the field outside seem to have one hell of a grass addiction! They're at it all day long.

Tupperware addiction has been ending marriages, and driving blokes to suicide since the 1950s, something needs to be done about it... first off lets think up a name for it that frightens people and sounds good in court.
Tupper-libido despair syndrome (the completely rational fear that one can not compartmentalize and seal away one's entire being into neat little bowls and boxes thus ending all decay.

Recommended trearment: Fresh fruits and vegetables eaten in the garden away from all predetermined shapes and sizes of tinted plastic...

Relapses are to be expected, simply re-stake them out in the garden and resume your dinner at the table.

It is not recommended that two Tupper-heads be staked within ear shout of one another and while the chain should be of sufficient length to accommodate grazing care should be taken to see to it they don't become entangled and choke themselves. There has been some reported success in shortening treatment by providing bedding in wicker baskets and clean sources of water. However I remain of the mind that like all extreme treatments, this is bound to give the patient an over inflated view of her role in the treatment... basics seldom fail us in these situations.

A final observation... it's not altogether wise to approach the patient directly without some form of restraint being readily at hand and preferably several robust orderlies to apply them as needed. We are seldom appreciated for the work we do!

An Appended thought:

It has been suggested that we adopt a 12 step program or something of that sort. I'm convinced that delaying treatment long enough to teach these women to count could be lethal to our billing practices!
