An 8800 screenshot won't shut me up - because I've already seen some.
The point is that to play Crysis the way it was designed, you have had to shell out more cash than I paid for my PS3. I merely think that it is ridiculous that with PC Gaming you find yourself having to shell out the same cash as the cost of a powerful HD console just so you can play a new game properly.
Games should play well on a range of video cards. Your screenshot proves only one thing, that Crysis performs badly on "lower" end cards.

Which IMHO is wrong. Other games are able to do this, so why not Crysis?

Tell you something. Compare UT3 with Crysis in terms of scalability. I've played the UT3 demo on my Geforce 6800GT, and it was perfect at high resolution and medium settings.

My Geforce 8400GS does it perfectly on medium settings.

UT has always been brilliant quality on much lower end hardware, and has always been a superior game engine because of it.

Crysis is just bloated badly. It needs fixing.

Mind you, we are all making judgements on a game that none of us has played, and if you have played it, you've played it in a beta form.

While I doubt Crysis will scale down as well as UT3, it should be better than something like Stalker which comes off as half-***ed. Also ap, if you turn off dynamic lighting, you should be able to crank everything else up in Stalker. Firingsquad got 65 fps at 1920x1200 with 1xAA and 4xAF on an X1300 with static lighting.

I'm not trying to beat a dead horse here. I just feel you guys got ripped off by XP. But that was your choice and I have zero problem with your choices.

I just don't like being forced to do what many volunteered for. On the bright side of things, this shouldn't be coming up for me again and I won't have to burden others with my disappointment.":O}

They could make it play well on a high range of cards if they really wanted to.
They just don't want you to - a game like Crysis should be available to play by almost everyone. Instead they aim only for the elite few who can afford to keep shelling out for high end hardware.

Believe me, once you start paying rent, bills and food you understand why these things annoy.

Apologies if I stepped out of line, but I find it increasingly annoying that you always seem to, some way or another, bring your PS3 into a discussion that isn't even remotely related to the PS3 of any type.

If I went into random threads and started posting about my Gameboy Advance at random intervals, or how the game will suck because it doesn't support touchscreen like my Nintendo DS, people are going to become increasingly annoyed.

I understand that you love your PS3 dearly and want to continue your friendly rivalry between your PS3 and the upcoming PC games, but there's a time and place for it all.
