Metal Gear Solid 4's Multiplayer component... is sold seperately.

Hideo Kojima, head of Kojima productions, announced that Metal Gear Solid 4 and Metal Gear: Online will be two separate games and would ship seperately. Fans of the franchise were pretty miffed by this and wanted an explanation.

Personally, I don't like this idea, and hope it doesn't become a trend.

This is the Bill paradine of divide and re-charge for everything. If they get away with it, it won't become a trend, but an accepted way of doing business... no point in my suggesting we learn to say no to a bad deal that will surely lead to worse... so I just say good luck.":O}

(Yes it probably IS a great game, that's why they think they can screw us..and history shows us they most likely can.)

haha way to hurt the sales of the game. I think it depends, this will turn off casual gamers and fanboys will purchase both. I hope to god it doesnt sell more I dont want to have to pay $120 for full games on every system.

This doesnt suprise me at all......it goes along with what i heard a while back about this game...just trying to milk every dollar they can out of this franchise.
I have heard similar things about Gran Turismo.....that if people want access to more cars and more tracks to race on, they will have to pay to download them each seperately, putting the cost of getting everything in the game up to around one thousand dollars! Not sure if this is true yet but this rumor has been around for a while now and it would not suprise me at all.......Greedy game companies.....i hate 'em!

Here's what I don't understand about this: MGS is one of the huge franchises that Sony still has to itself. This game will be a big selling point for the PS3 when it's finally released. Why wouldn't Sony want to have all the value they could possibly cram into this package?

Oh, I also remember hearing about some port of MGS 1-3 to the 360 with a new engine. I'm almost more excited for that than the new game!
