Any word on PC vs PS3 multiplayer?

PS3 will be faster for the most part, and smoother, but a mouse and keyboard trumps a controller any day of the week.

That said, the PS3 is capable of using a mouse and keyboard, and if you could play games with those peripherals, it would be an interesting contest.

Epic said there'd be no cross platform support due to difficulties in keeping the PC and PS£ versions of the game at the same patch revision.

I'd guess it's more a case of the extra development costs, rather than difficulties. They could at least aim to have it supported towards the end of the patching cycle.

Unfortunately, a patching cycle seems to take anything up to 2 years, so by the time the two are both patched enough that all bugs have been smoothed out and cross platform gaming can be incorporated, it could well be the game is either not popular enough for it to be worth it or possibly even due for replacement. Who knows. But I think it'd be an extremely long shot and not something worth looking forward too.
