Call of Duty 4 Texture Problem Been playing call of duty 4 for a bit now and have just unlocked one of the infamous gold weapons... I just got the gold desert eagle but its looks rubbish! Ive seen videos on youtube showing gold weapons, and they shine! but mines a horrible dull yellow colour... Im on the latest ATi drivers and all setting are maxed at 1680x1050. Looksie... About 1:30, the dessert Eagle is really shiney... just like the AK47 YouTube - Call of Duty 4 - Golden Ak47 Unlocked then compare... heres what mine looks like http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...DEnotgold2.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n.../DEnotgold.jpg Is this a graphics related problem??? Any help appreciated! Cheers

Yea, that looks odd, but your detail and image quality other than the gun looks top notch. Just bought COD4 for PS3 the other day, since i thought COD3 was fairly good. This new one though is absolutely brilliant. The part where you're flying the AC-130 Spectre, and shooting ground targets with the thermal imager, was just awesome. Brings up interesting questions too, like "If there's a tank I need to destroy... 25mm, 40mm, or 105mm Howitzer?" In which case the answer of course is the 105mm Howitzer. Then... "If there's a slightly injured man, standing still, in the middle of a road, not moving anywhere.... Do I use 25mm, 40mm, or 105mm Howitzer?" In which case the answer of course is STILL to use the 105mm Howitzer. If I had to kill an ant on a child's sandwich... I'd STILL use the 105mm Howitzer. Which raises the question, why the hell bother putting a 25mm vulcan cannon or 40mm gun on the AC-130, when all you /really/ need is more 105mm Howitzers. Choosing a lesser gun is like saying "No, I'll use the Volkswagen Jetta instead of the Audi RS6 since it will do the job, and be cheaper." Screw that. There is no problem on the face of this fine earth, that cannot be solved with a 105mm Howitzer.

Hi everybody, i have just unlocked the golden AK and i also have the gold Desert Eagle but none of them looks shiny like some of the videos posted here and on youtube.Instead they are like rusty or bronze like. I´m running COD 4 on an Intel P4 3.06Ghz, 2gb ram, radeon x850xt platinum and have the latest drivers. I´ve tried enabling specular map like suggested here before but it didn´t work for me. I´ve tried changing all options to extra in the game menu, the game still runs fine but it still doesn´t change my weapons to gold. Any ideas?
