Now that the Xbox 360 is capable of DivX playback, gamers around the world are enjoying the ability to play well-compressed movies on their brilliant, beautiful HDTVs. PlayStation 3 owners looking to do the same will be happy to hear that the latest firmware update for Sony consoles is due on December 18 and features the ability to play back DivX and WMV movies... Don't know, but when viewing F@H if you press down on the RT joy it enlarges, then you can use the L2 and R2 to move in and out...or was this waaaaay to elementary for everyone here but me? If you want to help people you have to take chances! ":O}

Nope. Just stream it off my PC.

And you zoom by pressing the video menu button [Triangle], and click 'Zoom', or something. There's 3 zoom sizes to choose from. =)

The first of the Blu-ray 1.1 movies will be out soon, and playable on the PS3 thanks to this update.

Just looking at these.

Blu-ray Disc Details: Resident Evil: Extinction | High-Def Digest

Quote:
HD Exclusive Content:
• "Under the Umbrella" picture-in-picture experience (Profile 1.1-enabled)
• Blu-Wizard 2.0
Don't know what Blu-Wizard 2.0 is?

Blu-ray Disc Details: Sunshine | High-Def Digest

Quote:
HD Exclusive Content:
• "Enhanced Viewing Mode" picture-in-picture video commentary (Profile 1.1 Compliant)
• "Surround Sound Mixer" feature (Profile 1.1 Compliant)
• Subtitle Trivia Track
• Search Content Index
Blu-ray Disc Details: War | High-Def Digest

Quote:
HD Exclusive Content:
• "Behind the Scenes FX Bonus" picture-in-picture commentary (Profile 1.1-enabled)
• "Yakuza Fighters" networked BD-Java game
• Dynamic resizing menus
• Personalized bookmarks
• "Blu-line Slider" - Jump into any scene instantly
HD doesn't just mean a better picture.

Actually... HD does just mean a higher resolution picture =P

whether or not the studios wish to sweeten the deal by making use of the increased storage space on the blue-ray disks is something else
