I'm going to guess Vietnam. The level of detail in a jungle / green area is something that could really show off the graphical prowess of the COD game engine, which I'm extremely impressed with after COD4.

Iraq is boring, sand and sand colored buildings.

Jungle is exciting.

Another CoD so soon? I guess CoD 4 really was that good, but still, a little too soon to announce it if you ask me. Even so, a Jungle setting would be nice, could be almost Crysis quality without the requirements.

CoD4's engine knocked my socks off. I mean, on my 7900 GT it ran fast, and looked really, really good. On my 8800 GS it runs even faster, and looks even better. I guess the only other game I play often that tears up my system is Oblivion, and that just irritates me with it's slowness and ugliness compared to the CoD4 engine.

But yes, Jungle would be nice. War on the moon? Not so much.

Tell you what I think its like. You know how id Software always manage to make revolutionary game engines, but in spite of their incredible graphical quality, they are unusually efficient? EPIC do the same thing with the UT series, UT2003/2004 were beautiful engines that ran extremely fast.

Then there is the opposite end with Crysis.

The new COD will most propably follow the footsteps of Crysis and BF2142....Thats my guess since they have covered every single timeline up till now......So they only thing left is a Sci-Fi addition.....

Yeah, id's engines and the UT engines are excellent, along with the CoD4 engine. Gamebryo (Oblivion), Crysis, and several others are just huge resource hogs.

Also: I really hope it doesn't go Sci-Fi. They still have Vietnam left, and that could work very well with the gameplay style that CoD uses. The only thing is that it's really hard to do a linear jungle level without being extremely obvious. And linear levels are where it's at with CoD.

Modern warfare was so much better. WW2 weapons were rubbish, tanks and vehicles were rubbish, accuracy was rubbish. Bah.
