Been playing this for a while now. Nothing short of amazing at every possible level !!!

EA latest NFS is soooooooooooo bad without GRID and tbh with GRID out there I do hope EA will either wake up or kill the NFS series ! I can upload a small 50mb if anyone wants to see how this game looks like.

downloading. I don't even know what GRID is... but I agree with chrisbard, the NFS is pretty bad. I used to like it back in college because you could race a friend down a freeway and have to dodge cars, but I played NFS - High Stakes and I'm not impressed. The old playstation version was more fun

Are the NFS games on the PC the same as their console equivs? I know that a number of EA's PC games are fairly different from their console version.

I'm not totally sure. I only have the PC version and havn't played any of the NFS on a console in 8 years. High Stakes is very arcade style and not a whole lot of detailed graphics. There is this annoying dust BMP's that fly into the screen when someone drives in the dirt in front of you. You can't see at all. And driving 50mph doesn't seem any different than driving 110mph. They physics are pretty plain too. There is damage when you hit stuff on the road and a lot less rollovers that I liked from the earlier ones.
