SAN FRANCISCO -- In Fracture, LucasArts' upcoming sci-fi shooter for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, the United States is gripped in the midst of a civil war after catastrophic climate change leaves the nation flooded and split in half.

To combat the rising sea levels as the polar ice caps melt, scientists have developed technologies that can raise or lower land masses on the fly. Their goal, in a nutshell, is to prevent places like Kansas from becoming beachfront property.

Wow that does sound really cool. Finally a game with the ability to alter your environment. The article didn't say anything about PC though...

It's a real shame a title like this won't be making it to the PC, though.
