google search for "crysis windows 2000" yields some ways to do it...3 files are needed.

This Is something MS is going out of their way to do, imho. It may be possible to jerry rig it, but for me it simply isn't worth the trouble. I am content for MS and I to go our separate ways. ":O}

WOW! If ever I needed proof of MS intentions to sabotage my OS here it is! Gee why were these files not included in the install ? ":O} Many thanks T.R.!

Here's the plain truth. It upsets me that MS rules the world. It upsets me when I have to co operate in that domination...so I don't! ":O}

I'm now using the Physx enabled nvidia drivers with this game, and works well without any noticeable loss in speed.

Have a smoking gun.

Did you notice the Peace sign on the side of the rocket launcher? LOL
Wish I could crank up my graphics to High or Very High settings.
My poor 8800GTS only has so much it can do.

Na. I am changing nothing for a while.

I will be looking for a place for me and my computer to live if I do anything else to it for a while.

Someone has one for sale though. I've seen you there before.

Well, before I could do that I'd have to change to a SLI mobo which of course I don't have. It's crossfire.
Not just that, I have $0 in funds right now to get anything & the little bit of work I was doing to earn money has dried up.
So now I'm back to having no money all the time... RRR
Maybe next year? Who knows...
But the first thing on my list is to get another 2 gigs of memory. I just hope by the time I have money to get it, it will still be
on sale or cheap like it is now at Newegg @ $27 after rebate.

I read up on Cadega and gaming in Crossover for Linux. It sounds cool but difficult to configure when there are so many different direct X games out there.
The price isn't that bad if you pay for a whole year, but I'm worried that if I pay and spend hours trying to configure a game (not to mention video card drivers in Linux) I'll never get to play them. So I go ahead and use XP for strickly gaming & CAD.

Cadega has gone a long way and has a huge list of games too...
