| Games Will Leap Towards Photo-Realism With DirectX 11 Written by Daniel Thursday, 17 September 2009 Video games have reached a plateau in recent years. Games still look good, but there hasn't been a leap forward towards photo-realism that many have been seeking. [Comments....]

| Ignoring the "linucs hans solo" community members, I can think of Crysis, Far Cry2, Grid as the most spectacular games out there. Crysis 2 for PC as any other decent game for PC will make the sister console version (in case there is one) look pretty bad. I guess that if you really want to play upcoming titles at the best possible settings you will use W7+good hardware.

| You'd rather hope that would be the case, given a midrange DX11 graphics card (Radeon HD 5850) is set to cost more than a PS3! Crysis 2 is aiming for PC, XBox 360 and PS3, so you'll have a chance to compare how a decent DX11 PC that costs multiple times as much as a console stacks up with them. There's a fair few videos/screenshots floating around the net for CryEngine 3 on consoles too.
