I like the EA Need for Speed games, very good graphics... but I've never tried it with a driving wheel, so I don't really know how real it is, but with a joystick I thought it was reasonably good.

Got NFS1,2,3 & 4 but they just don't drive like GT does(realistic physics). I guess it's just hard to beat a PS for driving sims.

Who was it that made an 8 cylinder inline? That must have guzzled gas beyond belief, but the power!

Who cares about power on it's own. Power to weight is much more exciting, esp if your car is less than 500Kg.

The lightest car that I have driven is a Lotus Elise 190. It's not 500Kg but with 193Hp in about 700Kg it's good enough to give me a BIG SMILE They just gotta do something about the really loooooooooooooooooong clutch. Took me a few minutes to get use to it.

500kg is like 1200 pounds? That's awefully light for an American car.

I was going to say that, but i didn't want to be shot or something. Same here.. I'm approaching 6' 2" and am trying to get above 160.. I grew a whole ton in a short time, so the rest(most) of my body hasn't caught up yet.

I can beat that. 6'3" and 140 pounds. I'm a runner though, so if I weigh a lot I run slow. So I need to stay tres mince.

I haven't found a better simulator that still maintains the fun factor than GT3. There are some true racing simulations on the PC, but they aren't worth playing. They model everthing near perfectly, but they impossible to enjoy w/o the tactile, visual, and auditory stimuli that accompany a real car.

I've been looking at Lotus Elise's myself. I've had my fill of sloppy handling in exchange for CUBES. You can only dragrace so often, but a car w/ razor sharp handling can be enjoyed almost anywhere. Still beyond my means for a toy, buy if they would import more, maybe the price would go down. I think the dirty Brits don't want us Fat Americans to have them.

They need to make a game based on GT but with trucks instead of cars. Need to be able to go offroad and take alot of abuse like the baja truck series. I know they made a game called 4x4 EVO for PS2 but it wasn't up to par like GT is. I would like to see all the fast light weight small race cars go thru mud bogs, jump hills and still maintain the speed without damaging anything. (Rally cars don't match up to a jacked up Chevy truck)
