Corsair XMS

Is the Platinum stuff any better than the regular XMS? Anyone notice any difference between the two if they're rated for the same specs?

Hi Mooky,
I recently purchased the XMS 3500 and was told by the rep at Newegg that there was no difference between the silver and black heatspreader versions.

I searched online and found many other confirming threads about this.

I am sure that someone else can provide the technical details.
