usb scanner and paralell printer conflict?

I know it sounds insane but, I am trying to get a visioneer 5800 usb to work with ANY lexmark paralell printer. I have tried 2 different machines (AMD/via and Intel/sis) and 2 different printers (z11,z32), but they just wont get along.does anyone know the trick? TIA!! surly..

Sorry, not a clue...
But what kind of errors are you getting?
I've got a USB scanner with Parallel printer.. I've set them up multiple times on different machines over the last 2 years, without incident....but mine are both HP....

I have a "CanoScan FB620U" USB scanner and a "Lexmark" parallel printer. Thay have never given me any trouble (Knock on wood).

i belive it is a software issue , but cant find any drivers other than the logo driver for the scaner that forces the visioner software. if i had a twain driver i think it would work.

I looked, and found the same logo driver.. that's it. I'm clueless when it comes to TWAIN... I have to admit, I actually like the sw that came with mine... K.I.S.S., and it works.

ya, unfortunatly it looks like I'm gonna have to hack the twain part outa the driver myself.

visioneers support leaves a $#!*load to be desired

well, using the wise uninstaller custom mode, I was able to go in and remove all the garbage and whittle it down to a basic set of drivers and now I can scan through the twain scan manager interface in all my apps, and still print. what a POS those logo drivers are!!
