I rock \m/ \m/

Yay, I just tried to connect my CD writer, wondered why it was a bit fubarred, so I tried the scsi card in every slot I had, diassembled my whole PC to do it, then realised it musnt be the card, so looked at the cable and noticed i'd severed the last strand right nxt to my drive, so took it apart, cut it, reassembled, hammered, clipped (well, tried ) and it works!!!

altho i screwed the clip on the CD end, superglue it is

I know it's not much but hey, i'm impressed with myself,it was a decent job, and i've never done it before and have no spare SCSI cables

check out the damage caused originally by me + jewel screwdriver!

It's amazing what a man can do with some stupid glue, a fine adjustment tool (hammer), and some duct tape. These have been in my tool box for some time now.

Hehe, I have to admit, I also used 2 other precision tools, 1 was a pipe clamp and the other a random clamp that comes with it, hard to explain, but rest assured they're about 8" long and heavy, so they're definately prescision, anyway,it's working fine and I just burnt a CD with it

Good picture! Glad you were able to fix it yourself!

Always have spare cables though!
