| transfering registry just wandering but is there anyway to transfger registry to another drive....as i am installing winxp on my RAID now and was wandering if there was a quick and easy way of getting fresh install of OS but have reg entries so taht i dnt have to reinstall EVERTHING

| The registry is so complex now that it's not possible to move it like that. Even if it were, everything the system does is so closely tied into the registry, it'd be like copying your existing OS across to your RAID setup, rather than a fresh install.

| As much as I personally don't like M$, there are a few handy tools in XP, and it definitely is improving. With that disclaimer out of the way, take a look here to see if this covers what you want to do. I didn't discover it until after I went through a complete install and then had to manually re-install all of my apps.
