URGENT DDR question

ARGH!! I ordered a 512mb PC2100 DDR DIMM and THOUGHT my motherboard would support it..

I look in the manual and it states:

"NOTES: Double-Sided X16 DDR memory devices are not supported by Intel 845 chipset. "

So I get out the DIMM and it has a row of 8 chips on each side, for a total of 16..

The motherboard I have is a Gigabyte GA-8IRXP..
The DIMM is a Crucial 512mb DDR 266MHz CL2.5 PC2100 64x64

Anybody know if this will work? I just never gave this any thought.. Am I screwed?

Supports 64 bits data interface, 2.5V DIMM DRAM and ECC DIMM
DDR frequence overclock setting from BIOS (based on Host/DRAM clock ratio)
DDR over-voltage setting (2.5V~2.8V) from BIOS

You've just gotta love this "Double-Sided" stuff as well....

Double-Sided has nothing to do with the layout of chips on the memory board, but to do with the logics of the address select lines...
