windows xp64

A REPORT on Planet AMD 64 appears to confirm our earlier reports that Windows Xp64 will be released to the market in March or may next year.
According to the site we will see haha bla bla bla!!!!

why is Microsoft making us wait so long for the xp64 could it be that they have made a deal or something like that with intel?? if i was in AMDi would be helping Microsoft in ever way i can to get xp64 out there even if that means putting up money to get it out once it's out AMD will start to really kick ass then. the amd64 3000 even kicks the intel 3.2gig take a look for u'r self

........http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=13187

As you can see, Athlon 64 won eight of the nine benchmarks, and one of them by 27%. For those who need superior gaming performance than a 3.2 GHz P4, but at less cost, these benchmarks indicate that the Athlon 64 3000+ is the way to go.

COME ON AMD PUSH TO GET XP64 OUT SO THEN I CAN START TO BUILD MY SLI SYSTEM WITH A AMD64 FX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's tempting to suspect collusion on the part of Microsoft and Intel with the delay of XP64, but I don't think such is the case this time. The simple reality is that AMD has not sold anything like the number of 64-bit chips that would make it worth-while for Microsoft to dedicate a huge team of programmers to its development, and the places that HAVE purchased the chips for their 64-bit capability by and large aren't running Windows ANYWAY. Only Intel's entry into the x86-64 arena has guaranteed a large enough volume of chips to make it worth-while for Microsoft.

I would also think that the availability of 64 bit software and drivers may well continue to be a factor.

Which brings us to another chicken/egg-like situation - why develop software applications for an operating system that doesn't exist yet/why be in a hurry to finish an operating system when there aren't any applications that require it.

With 'til Longhorn comes out. That's gonna be a serious nightmare. Longhorn won't accept unsigned drivers.

remember the wait for a 32bit os? it wasn't until the 3rd generation of 32bit chips that we had a consumer os to match
