If you want "3-D" words, stick to PSP or Photoshop. Any sort of free program is guaranteed to be crap or install spyware on your machine. Which is clearly SUCH an amazing machine, it'd be a damn shame to ruin it.

GIMP is ok, although a tad strange to get your head around.

If you need any text added, drop me a PM and I'll see if I can help.

The best 3D text maker around is called Xara3D, and there is a free version, though it is pretty old, and you may have to look for it, else there is a free 15 day trial. It is designed purely to create great 3D text and graphics.

http://www.xara.com/downloads/xara3d/

If you need to do a couple of graphics, download the trial, and it will be great.
