| PSU School I was wondering if anyone knew of some good resources/websites that discuss how PSUs work, and more importantly...what to look for in determining if a certain PSU is right for the job. I don't know much about amps and volts, don't know about the 12V. rail, much less why 2 are better than one, if indeed that is the case. Anyone know of some good primer material? This is a BIG gray area for me  Thanks!

| HowStuffWorks has a writeup here that gives you the basic idea. If you want something more in depth, I can write something for you, but it may be a few days.

 It would be nice of you big Giz to write something for the masses  Please..  I don't know anything about PSU's...just the fact that a good one is required for a strong system.

| Thanks for the replies...I've checked both out and feel quite a bit more informed. I second the notion for Gizmo to scribe up some thoughts on the matter (assuming there are enough hours in the day!). It may be a handy reference or sticky for future knowledge hounds like myself
