Quieten my DVDRW?
Hi there again, I have a LiteOn SOHW-1673S Dual Layer Int IDE 16x DVDRW that is VERY LOUD when accessing CDs (up to 48x) which intrudes when playing games or when others are reading/watching TV in the same room...

does anyone know anyhow to stop the drive from going to top speed?

If you have Nero, you can give a try to Nero Drive Speed, and select a speed smaller than max.
