In Need of a Free DVD decoder If Possible

I need a free DVD decoder from somewhere. I'd like to make use of this DVD player I have and my graphics card and this drive don't seem to have come with any DVD playing software. Anyone know of a place where I can get one of these, maybe there's an open source program I don't know about. Anyways, thanks for any help/direction pointing in advance.

Try windows media player, just allow it to download the codec packages.

About the only "free" decent one I know of

PowerDVD 5 is just a few pennies off Amazon secondhand.
I got mine for £3.50.
The price of a schooldinner.

MPlayer, one of the Linux media players can handle DVDs well enough. There's now a Windows version of it too. Their site was down earlier when I looked, but it's linked for when it works again.

"The motherboard installation section essentially said "refer to motherboard manual for installation instructions". My motherboard manual of course said "refer to case manual for further installation instructions"."
