Logitech G7 lazer mouse review.

Today when I came home from school I saw a package from amazon inside. When I opended it I saw my new logitech G7 I ordered a few days ago for $80 (good job amazon).

When I opened the box I found the G7 to be in a plastic covering which was dissapointing since for $80 you could think it would be in a nice box.

SO I opended the box and looked inside. I founf the G7 2 litium ion batery packs a chager(USB) and a small usb 2.4 Ghz wireless connetions that can connect to a usb port or the chager.

So I hooked the chager to my top usb port and put the wireless connection on the carger. First off the G7 wad fairly heavy probly the same as a G5 with the full weight pack in it.

In the pics it shows it as light shiny blue and grey main body. I noticed it being when I opended it being a dark shiny greenish (which I think looks nicer).

ANother thing about it is it's much bigger then most mouses. The one thing to know if your buying this (or going to) rember the lazer sensor's light is absorbed by a dark mouspad I had to move my alienware pad and put a silver one(white recomended since it reflects light with almost no absorbtion) in it's place.

Now it was working fine I loooked on the underside. First thing you'll notice is an ident were one of the two lith-ion packs go the other resting in the chager.

You'll see an eject button to eject the better when it runes out. The teflon feet are huge they are alteast 3 times bigger then anything else.

However th mouse moves extrmly smoothly like it's gliding on air. There is NO resitance. There is also a small power button on the mouse to turn it off. Back to the top.

They got rid of the two buttons and replaced them with one bigger one. Next to the side button there is a small display. One of something that looks like the AOL guy which symbloizes DPI the other is a bettery symbol which of course shows the battery level.

Below the scroll weel which also had a tilt weel funtion there are two buttons. One says + and the other says -. Pressing the + will raise the DPI level ut can go upto 2000 DPI.

Pressing the - wil make you go from 2000 DPI to the 800 DPI to 400DPI this is very useful since you can conserve battery by having it on a ower setting foor typing internet surfing ect, then which it to 2000 DPI for gaming.

Your seeting is sybloized by the 3 little orange bars on the side. The battery is indicator green.looking at the 2.4 Ghz wireless moduale there is not much to say 2.4 Ghz is amzing and the same as the average cordlessphone.

Looking at the charger you see a indent where you put the battery to charge. On the top there is a button to eject the battery.

It's extremly useful since you can quickly change the battery when the one in the mouse runs out. Then while you play with the one the otherone charges. On the bottom of the chager you see a few things one is where it says logitech.

Then below the MADE IN CHINA sticker. You'll also notices the 4 rough feet so they cling to the surface. But the best thing on the bottom of all is a swich button that says normal and boost mode.

The boost mode gives you an extremly quick rechage rate for the batterys say if your in a tournetment otherwise it talkes 10hrs for a full chagre.

The boostmode is 2 hours but you need to have it hooked directly to the PC or the power since it uses more power then the USB port will let you. But the mouse on normal mode can still have a range of about 12m no walls but objects.

Overall I would recomend the G7 for a gamming mouse but if you don't need cordless(which I do) don't buy it go for the G5 it's cheaper.

Being the only wireless gamming mouse you pay a huge price of $80. The G7 is acctuly slightly better then the G5 but the difference is not noticeable it's just a number on paper like many other things with computers.

You can also use the software to ajust the settings just to metion I still have to install it but you can asign side button funtion and DPI level.

The battery life is about 8:50hrs at 2000 DPI 14:05 for 800 DPI or a huge 20 hrs on 400 DPI. The warrenty is three years.

Over all I love this mose there is no lag in fact at first I felt 2000 DPI was to fast but I quickly got used to it. SO if you can afford to spend the money go for it.

THis is the best mouse and will probly be so for a year or so. ever since I got this today I have played 10times better in BF2 accuracy. The mouse doesn't turn off like other wireless mouses(and school/dell mouces) who have sleep timers.
