Sound Card

Ok. First off, im about to get possibly this motherboard:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131524

along with this sound card:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16829102176

and speakers:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16836121118

now my question is this: do i need to spend the extra money for that sound card or will i notice a difference from this sound card compared to onboard sound of that motherboard?

my second question is if this sound card along with the above speakers are a good powerful combo to enhance my gaming and music experience:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16829102178

thanks guys

Putting a sound card on your box will almost always improve your sound. The onboards are usually really cheap and take away from cpu cycles. (cycles you should be using to fold anyways )

which one is better for the money do you think? i heard the 70 dollar one, you can't hook the front audio ports (in the front of your case) to it and expect it to work. is this true??

btw.. my case would be this one right here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119075

I don't see any front audio connection on that case. (didn't look hard) If you can get a card that will support front audio and a case that will support front audio I would do it. It's great if you game and have to wear headphones like I do.

Will this work? Although, if you're shelling out $1500 on a comp then I don't see why you can't include an X-Fi.

trust me the X-fi was the best investment I made in my computer. Definetly worth it.
