A harsh decision

Hi all,
I've made a decision, which, bearing the last few months in mind, is a bit sudden and 'harsh'. I've decided that i'm not going to spend silly-hundred pounds or so on an upgrade. I'm gonna be spending the money on a new mobile, a new MP3 player and some games and accesories for my DS (the DS is christmas present from my parents). I'm gonna be getting the Sony Ericsson K700i mobile, a black 2gb ipod nano and wario ware touched, Wi-Fi kit and a few other goodies for the DS. This will all cost around £250. I will still be upgrading the computer, but not to such a large scale. I'll probably end up with a 6800, an Athlon 3200+ and a different DFI board. Or i may end up just getting a better graphics card, and get a TFT monitor (likelyhood is that i'll not though and just upgrade the computer rather than getting a TFT). I know it's a bit 'sudden' but for the past few years, the main 'social' outing has been to school (if you can class school as social). I've really just stayed in on the computer. I really need to start getting out a bit more. I'll still use the computer a lot of the time but just not as much as i do now. And i'll still work on Re-volt and i'll still visit here to check up on things, see how people are getting on.

Dude! We will all miss you. If you wanna go out, go to a LAN party

Other than that, get the Creative Zen Touch 20Gb :

http://www.komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?s...D-E46501023430

rather than the Ipod nano, especially if you just want to listen to music and not pose! 10X the space for the same price - not bad at all

Favu.

Well, like i said, i'm not leaving, and i do go to a LAN gaming center near me, the run all nighters but because i've still got schooling, i don't think i'll be allowed that much

I am a poser and i'm only getting the nano because it's easy to use, very cool and has enough space for me and most of my music collection.

Working at currys has it's benefits, i get to see the moment that all new items come into stock, so when the DS and mario kart bundle arrives (which is the one i'm getting as christmas present), i may just have to hide one somewhere under the shelves or in forward stock room, or ask someone to save me one, no discount unless i've been there for more than 13 weeks though.....

So no, i'm not leaving, i'll just be here a bit less often from the next few weeks.

Your chosen spec is fine! It's on par with what I have, and I tell you, it plays most modern games easily and is more than enough for normal apps.

Spending more time socialising is natural. When I was 12-14, I spent a lot of time indoors.
Now, I go out a lot more, even if its just to house parties. Because it's entirely natural. And of course, we all want girlfriends and I'm afraid but online pretend gfs dont cut it!

Good luck, and have lots of fun!
