Question Which Wireless Mouse?

I am planing to buy a WMouse. This is for gaming in the first place. Some of my friends warned me that they are not suitable for gaming. Is this true? If not pls tell me what should I look for! TX

I use a wireless Logitech Trackman Marble for gamming. I experiance no lag or loss of accurace as long as the trackball is within 4' of the receiver. However there have been times where the receiver has been pulled off the table by a dog and left me with no mouse, or one that is jumppy and irractic. Same thing would happen if someone would take the receiver off the table and put it on the tower.

I'm sure this is implemented in other mice, but I read about it specifically with my MX1000. The Logitech MX1000 uses some sort of special RF that has a theoretical speed faster than that of USB. This gives you speeds just as fast as a wired mouse would.

I love my MX1000. I've found it more than suitable for gaming and any other applications I use on a daily basis. It's also quite comfortable and the battery lasts absolutely forever. The only thing I'd do to improve it would be to add bluetooth (as my computer has BT built-in and thus would require no receiver.) I haven't priced them recently, but I got mine for $40 US after rebate over the summer.

That's utter rubbish. Wireless mice suffer much more latency and performance decreases with the battery life.

Wired for games. Wireless for convenience.

And my MX1000 was awesome, but just isn't as sharp as my Razer Copperhead.

I have never leet my battery get under 40% since it's really fun to change them. Odly enough I definetly prefer the G7 to a copperhead or the G5. I did a review of it somewhere.
Logitech G7 lazer mouse review.
I also like the non set DPI so you don't have to be using 2000 DPI while typing or on word. I'm going to be using mine with a commputer connected to a TV.

Wireless mice are just getting too pricey for my likings, and the extra weight of the batteries annoys the hell out of me.

Some of the RF technologies used are not great for range and suffer from interference. In any case, due to the extra step of conversion needed, wireless mice tend to have a little bit more lag than wired mice. Why this is I'm not entirely sure, as wireless can be as fast as wired. The batteries do add a fair heft of weight to the mouse however!

I've not had problems with any battery related lack of performance with the Mx900 I have, but a) it's Bluetooth and tends to have a better range; and b) it gets charged every night.
