lol! Hmmm, it's just not an easy decision for me to make. Either i go with DFi and Opteron and go over budget, or DFi and Athlon 3200+ and go under budget (budget is about £310) but the epox aren't in stock at OCUK, overclock.co.uk or ebuyer don't sell opteron and other etailers don't sell some of the other components. I don't think that an opteron is an option at the moment, ordering from OCUK and overclockers.co.uk is just going to cost too much i think. Either cost too much or another month of waiting. Ordering an opteron from OCUK and the other parts from overclock.co.uk gives me a total of £311 approx. But getting an athlon 3200+, all the bits from overclock.co.uk gives me a total of £307 approx. Only £4 difference but it's so annoying being just so little off. Unless i can get my mum to give me about a fiver, just so that ordering this doesn't close my bank account. Or if someone can paypal me a few quid, but i don't know how long it would take before it was in my bank account rather than at paypal (unless it goes straight into my bank account, i don't know, i've never received any funds from anyone using paypal, i've only ever sent them, to pay for things from ebay). Unless someone wants to buy an O2 UK Genie sim card from me for a fiver. I've got loads of them, and plenty of 'gold numbers' (very easy to remember) which are £20.

Ok, i'm decided. In the red corner; Opteron. In the blue corner; Athlon.

It's a fight to the death. One will be victorious, one will crash and burn.
Shake hands. *Competitiors shake hands*

Fight *DING*

http://www.googlefight.com/index.php...&word2=Opteron

*DING DING DING*

And the winner is: Athlon!

Yeah, i'm going for Athlon 64 3200+ simply because i've waited for a long time for it, i've seen it outdo an FX-53, i've read the reviews, i've seen people getting 2.8Ghz out of one fairly easily and it's got a 10 x multiplier.

The opteron is faster (due to its large L2 cache), and will OC further and more reliably. If you wait for something long enough it will be surpassed by something better!

When I was scraping money together for my machine, I started hoping to have a 2600+ for £80 it took me so long to get the cash that I got a 2800+ in it's place, for the same £80.

Are you telling me you would have gotten the 2600+ because you had been waiting for it longer

Yes, i know that. I've ordered it now! It's 64mb supporting 256mb, i noticed that. I've also just been down to currys to sort out my new contract, 6 hours a week, 3 hours tomorrow (5 - 8 pm) and saturday (2 - 5 pm). But back to the upgrade, i should be using my upgrade by wednesday at the latest, i'd finished ordering it by 3.20pm today so it should be here tomorrow. But since it's city link, they'll probably end up delivering it while my mum is taking my niece to school, which takes about 10 minutes, there and back. But it's just plain unlucky. I hope that he delivers it when my mum is at home, because then i can 'build' it either before i go to work, or when i get back. Either way, it's done and dusted.
