System freezing..

I'm working on a system for someone at work.. nothing special about it.. just an HP machine they bought.. Every few minutes the mouse cursor will freeze for about 7-10 seconds and the keyboard is unable to be used. It does this every few minutes..

Just wondering if anyone had similar problems?

it's an HP what do you expect. Honestly sounds like a ram problem.

Well, figured ram may be an issue so ran memtest for several hours... no errors came up though. Updated all drivers and the bios.. still doing it bleargh.

Try a virus / spyware scan, and check the running processes

That might pick something up
