Talking Can you imagine?

hi all,
while watching a program about google on the BBC website, it made me think about googlewhacks. Now you may think that this has nothing to do with hardware but it will seem relevant soon. I was thinking about the word googol which is actually a 1 followed by 100 zero's. So i did a google for googol and found something very interesting which involved greek numerical prefixes. And this got me thinking a bit more. Now i'm going to say a word but i'm going to split it up so that it is still a googlewhack, just join it all together to make the word: ven dek abyte . 1 of those is 10 decillion MiB (megabytes in terms of 1024). What if there was a hard drive that was 1 ven dek abyte? Wouldn't that be an achievement? People have never discussed this on the internet before and i'm quite intrigued. Such a shame about current manufacturing limits.

I didn't think that there was a limitation, because I have a total of .2 van dekabytes of storage. True, I hacked into a couple of huge storage farms that belong to ___ and ___, but they don't seem to mind. It turns out that I don't need all of that disk space. Wish me luck in pulling out the few terrabytes I really need, and covering my tracks like I was never there!

ah, but that's only 0.2 rather than 1.0. And seeing as the highest capacity mainstream drive currently available is 500Gb, there's still the others such as YonnaBytes and XennoBytes as well as many others.

XennoBytes? Wasn't that a game by SquareSoft?
