Printer problem psc 2210

Is it firmware, or mechanical, or both? New ink carts, keeps reporting low ink, and keeps trying to align carts. prints real slow, keeps returning paper type mismatch error, and sometimes doesn't print at all. Have tried hp firmware update, print control update , unplugging for hours, etc. $300+ for a piece of junk.

Have you tried contacting HP at all?

The issues you are reporting suggest that there might well be something wrong with the unit!

I'm assuming this a brand new printer?!?!?

First I would check to make sure that you took off ALL the packing material off the ink cart. If you have... then I would recommend that you get another one. These ink carts go out (ie dry up) pretty quick and can give you problems.

As far as the paper thing goes..... are you trying to print something and it says wrong size paper or is it just a test page?

Gosh, I can't wait to buy another HP printer. Always the best bargain in ink use, you hardly ever have to put in new ink cartridges! Snide, who me?
