Question HP deskjet 5150

I have bought a HP 5150 printer for my wife and I have few questions.

1. How can I make the best printing when the document is long and I want first to print the odd pages.....I have something called manual duplex as an option but on the other hand I have the option of simply printing the odd then the even pages. What is the best option?

2. When I refill the cartridge does it have some sort of AI that will say it was refilled to many times to work again or something like that? Cartriges are 56 and 57.

3. Why after testing (printing) a little today (it is not a new printer just an unused one) it begun printing the test page without me saying so???

Thanks for your help !

Ahhhh you got the CRAZY printer (5150) I'll have to do a little digging.

One of the probs with refilling the carts is usually the ink is a little conductive and that's how it tells how full the carts are. Change the ink and you might change the conductance and it might report incorrectly.

Chris, here are a couple of web pages to show you how to reset your HP carts.

HP 57 CARTS.
http://www.stratitec.com/inkrefill/s.../inkreset3.php

HP 56 and 58 CARTS.
http://www.stratitec.com/inkrefill/s.../inkreset2.php

I use the same system to reset carts. on my old HP deskjet 3550 and they work every time.

GOOD LUCK

You're welcome mate
Have had trouble with F@H corrupting itself.
Keeps telling me it has encountered a problem and needs to close.
Have reinstalled about 20 times,But still corrupting.
Am 5400 frames into a 10000 frame fold.
Any advice would be appreciated.

You have to make sure your computer is absolutely stable. I use prime 95 and atitool at the same time with my rig OC and I get no problems for about 6 hours I let it run with maximum stress testing ! If you encounter errors you have to reduce your OC ! Any question feel free to ask inside Folding thread I will be glad to help you !
