I think it is going to end up costing WAY more than the performance gain you get from it is worth, unless you are absolutely insane and have more money than sense.

This is true, price is always the most important factor.

Yarr, the DIMM won't look so shiny after a year of dust dulls its shine. Gotta admit, it's one stylish muddah.

Honestly not that good lloking IMHO, plus those copper fins are gonna get dusty real fast. Plus I am not real keen on thepower directly from the PSU - that means potentially another adaptor and more ugly wires. Can't wait to see what the mod community makes of it tho!

Well, I don't think it needs an adaptor. Just a straight feed from a floppy power connector.

I think in this instance the heatsinks are needed, not just for show, due to the onboard power for extra voltage.

Beautiful? It's hideous, bulbous and ugly.

Where has the subtlety gone from design?

"Bulbous"-we're lucky to have so many Members from the UK. They have a better command of the language, I'm tellin' ya.

I also think it's ugly, personally simple colored ram is good.

Well I don't really think it would merit being called hideous. But Geil would have to do more than just come up with a new look cuz I find most of their mem anemic. Why would they need all that phony cooling when you can only turn up the volts to them to 3V? What is up with that. you have to open your case and reach in with a screwdriver while it is running to turn up the mem volts and then you only get 3V What a joke. If it gave you 5 volts and 2-2-2-5 at DDR600 I would say I would jab a screw driver into my case anytime but for Geil and 3.0 volts..... No way

4.0v for ddr600 2-2-2-5. BH-5 Phase-change cooled. memory controller can't handle that speed @ 1T tho.

Yes, it is. If you want it, and are willing to pay for it, just about anything can be had, in terms of computing. WZ's request wasn't as outlandish as he thought!
