Sony, others will play HD content properly on Analog systems PC World is reporting that Sony, among others, will NOT be using the 'Image Constraint Token', at least on their first generation of Blue-Ray and HD-DVD disks. What this means for us is that anyone who has purchased an HD display that doesn't have HDMI input capability, or a player that doesn't have HDMI output capability, will still be able to view HD content in its full glory instead of having it scaled back to normal DVD levels. |

What has that got to do with displays with no HDMI inputs?

This is what I have. And AFAIK it has nothing to do with displays without HDMI

mine sort of refers since I just found my HDMI port and it's pretty useless so far, the 360 doesn't use it, my PC doesn't use it. ANyway ya it's sort of off topic.

HDMI and DVI are pretty much the same thing, except that HDMI also supports a form of encryption for content protection. Thus you can connect a DVI transmitter to an HDMI display happily.
