Got plenty of it, especially when I asked what kind of vintage hardware people had. Not a "museum without actual items".
I just listed my units.
What made you ask me if I had etiquitte?

Axel, the point is that AOA has an "The AOA Computer Museum."While we don't hope or wish it to be the only such display we do hope that our members won't use our web space to advertise theirs.

It's one thing to make an announcement let friends know where you are and what you are doing.

You let that line slip passed when you actively advertise your space, which as has been pointed out competes with our own.

Sure, a single announcement to friends is fine as long as there is no "Competing" aspect nor advertizing.

This is the second such announcement. Axle knows of our competing interests. This isn't the first time a disgruntled member has returned to advertise their site at our expense.

As rule we always look away the first time...IF the member has, as Axle has, made a significant contribution to AOA in the past.

Here the catch is that Axel knows AOA has a competing interest.

A Museum created by AOA Members, voluntarily in their own time. What does AOA own those who work on her behalf?

We (AOA) simply aren't here to assist others in starting their own sites at our expense.

If something helps AOA or furthers our membership we try to accommodate.

BTW, No permission was sought to use our space to advertise Axle's efforts or to ensure there would be no conflict over this.

I do not intend to advertise any items, because I DO NOT sell my stuff...lol....I am a pack rat.

I just wanted to play around and see/show vintage computers.

I am NOT trying to advertise, I even disquised the links.

DANIEL, if I thought this was even close to advertisement, I would have asked you, like many times before, or I would have added a disclaimer stating I would delete the thread if it were in violation of any rules.

I posted ZERO links to my site, just linked images with cover words, people can't see my site like that.

Oh, if it is any consequence at all, I didn't know there was a "aoa museum" I looked closely at the front page, and saw nothing.

Daniel, I ask you. What was advertised here?

Also, if you want help with adding images and specs of older computers, you know damned well I would help. Just like the AOA collage I did. And the monetary donations. I like contributing. That is why it makes me so sad when you acuse me of doing something I had no idea I was doing.
You know I would even list my own machines and take images just for AOA. I offer my assistance! Let me know how to do it, and I will do it!

I repeat myself again. THERE WAS NO ADVERTISING IN THIS THREAD!
All I did was list my machines, and ask to see other people's.

Rather than prolong what has become something of a misunderstanding, not to mention an exaggeration of the importance of this event.....I'll leave things as they are.

My apologies on the misspelling of your name "Alex"
Dyslexia is never having to say your sure you spelled it right.

Alex, I know you believe yourself to be in the right. I myself don't believe your altogether wrong.
Nor do I believe you to be altogether right.

In my view, all that matters now is where we go and what we do from here.
