Can't believe that my A Box didn't make the top 500 list this year. Yeah, right. Who gets to sit in the folding chair?

If there was a Solaris version, then we could borrow some time on the Sun Grid. There isn't a Solaris version of the client however...

Ok No#1 is right out, but if we chip in together we might be able to buy No# 475 or 480!

Did you take into consideration that we would be buying used? Didn't think so!

Besides with 512 of 'em shouldn't there be some really sweet discounts on fans or molex connectors or something?

I have it! We can wait for the new supercomputers to come out! Bound to be a price point to be had on Semi-Super computers!

Come On Gizmo this isn't something we can just do without and forget about!

Aedan! You must know someone with a tired 'ol semi-super computer they can let go of at a "friends" price?

I'll bet we'd be the first hardware site with REAL BIG IRON HARDWARE!

Might be worth a few extra hits each day!

Why only 512 CPUs can't they count to a t-h-o-u-s-a-n-d?

Or didn't they need anymore...probably no "used" market for 1024 Semi's.

We could also wait for enough of them CPUs to burn out! Then we ask it a 512 CPU question and make 'em lower the price when it can't answer!

Wonder how many CPUs burn out each day?

Im suprised Iridis 2 @ southampton uni is missing from that list.

It has 600 2.2GHz AMD opterons, and 214 1.8GHz Intel Xeons. Which I would of thought would have been enough to make that list but it seems not

Maybe they are tired of it by now and want a new one. Keith ask them to give us a price!

Well a thousand dollars is way more than I intended to spend on a super computer, let alone a semi-sup.

I have to save for a corp jet or Danrok will never get off his island!

what about a plastic bag and a piece of strig, make a kite! That'll do!

And where's my rig! I can't believe it's not even on the list! That's astonishing! Perhaps we should have the AOA top 50 fastest rigs, see which members clock up the highest score?
