Replacing a HDD and want to transfer all the data

What's the best and easiest way to put my OS and all my data from my old drive onto a new hard drive?

Is there software I can buy to do this with?

use the software that the drive OEM supplies @ thier website. Seagate drives use SeaTools, for example. Each maker's tool offers just the functionality you desire.

I just bought Acronis back up, clone and create a new disk software, very happy with it as a replacement for Ghost, easy to use and available for $30.00 if you know where to look! ":O}

Acronis

best price on the web:

BTW you can d/l a fully fuctional trial version for 15 days...could get you through the night...":O}

I use Acronis and love it. It creates an invisible partition to save an image to and all you have to do to restore is hit F11 during boot up.

I sav my docs, music and such to a different drive and all is good...

So long as you don't follow Maxtors advice and use a Ultra 133 card in W2K, might work in XP, not not in a real OS! ":O}

Just goto the maker of your hard drives web site is and download the utility to do this. I find that it is the most convenient way.
