Just going to toss out some random ideas, perhaps they have been discussed before, and wondering why noboy has tried them yet.

1.)Anodized HDs and Floppys, would be sweet to have a blue, red, or green HD for your case modding needs.

2.)Upgradable Vid cards, instead of going out and buying a whole new vid card, maybe you just grab another 64megs of ram, or a new gpu for it

3.)hmm actually can't think of anything else at the moment

well, i can answer number two. back in the day they did have the memory upgradable cards..it never made it big. also, video card companies wouldn't do that because then then you would never buy new video cards and they would lose money and go out of business. either that, or you get screwed becaues the gpu and ram is most of the cost.

Like Alex said, they will never release upgradeable video cards...

I doubt there's a large enough market/demand for internally colorful drives. Remember, we're the extremists of this hobby, 90% of people never open their PCs. Of that 10%, less than 1% care about case modding to that degree.

since were that one percent, we may as well mod the hard drives ourselves.

hmmmm if anyone kills an IBM HDD or anything, would they mind posting me the remains? i know some people who could probably get the case anodised... and i could transplant a working drive into the casing i bet..... i might just give it a go on my half dead 2.3 gig tho.....

I have a link somewhere that explains how to anodize things. I'll try to remember to grab it and post it if I get online tonight.
