Intel Kentsfield trounces AMD Quad FX

Wow, AMD lost this race. Not to mention that a more expensive dual-CPU board, and dual(2x2 sticks of RAM) are needed for AMD's quad effort. I dunno what, if anything AMD has up its sleeve, but it needs to be pretty spectacular to catch up with Intel's lead in quad-core town. Lamentations in Sunnyvale about this article from Japan, no doubt! Great find Gizmo, thanks a bunch for publishing it here!

Yep. AMD has their work cut out for them. It's going to be a tough next year for them I think.

Atsa one SPICY processor. Looks like we'll lose the tattered remains of a lead in designing processors any second now. But I don't want to live in Tokyo.
