I respect your opinion, and by no means am I trying to prove you wrong. Just wondering why you would so highly prefer HD over Blu-ray? Isn't it Blu-ray who has a higher capacity, which means less compression, resulting in better IQ? Not to mention more efficient archiving of data. Maybe you're referring to the price difference, HD being cheaper. Anyone know how much of a difference there is between the two?

Neither player format is cheap right now. Blu-Ray players are currently selling for about £800 and HD-DVD for about £400, in the UK.

Prices are bound to fall on each type, given time...

Wow, thats a pretty big difference! Looks like I won't be enjoying either for some time.
