What do you use? 2.1 or 5.1 sound or?

Just wondering what people's preferences for PC speaker set-ups are?

What do you use?

I have a logitec 5.1 setup and I also use the Zalman surround headphones. The headphones keep my bride happy.

I use 6 speakers two at the front, two at the sides and two behind me for a nice surround sound effect. It's just a collection of speakers i've built up over the years, but it does sound very nice indeed

Currently using logitech z-5500's and a set of Z-2300's to make 7.2 sound, but I answered 7.1. I also have the Sony surround amp and 5x Athena 2.2's w/ 1200w sub still hooked up, but rarely use them unless listening to music in another room...they cast the high-end sounds much father than the logitech units, althoug hthe logitechs are quite good on thier own. Wife uses Z-5300's.

Is your wife into computers or just a casual user?

She uses her pc all day @ work(seen Monster's INC? She'd be Ros, in charge of all documents and paswds for an engineering firm.), and is far more than a casual user @ home. She's not the sort of user that requires alot of power tho...she complains ALOT about how slow her pc @ work is, tho!

I'm always telling my girlfriend how much i love her, we've been together literally years. Does she mind about the power bill?

LoL. No. I pay the bills, wear the pants. After all these years she's not mentioned it once. Hasn't even complained about FAH running 24/7 on her machine...I'm sure getting that cpu and mobo from LP helped on that front tho.

I'm always confident and happy...she's a big part of that. Dunno where I'd be without her. I really am blessed in all aspects of my life.

Better to be happy than depressed, depression only makes you feel worse, that's what i always say so i constantly think how lucky i am when i feel down or anything. I'm guessing you have a seperate room for your PC's so that it doesn't disturb you in your sleep.

LoL. I got a 3 kids and a house and all that. No car tho. PC's are in the main basement room...It's large enough for each of our desk areas (we both have multiple desk/tables) as well as tv, couch, loveseat, chair, etc. I have other people's kids to take care of through the day, and our living room gets used for that, so everything kinda ended up in the basement. Got a bedroom for guests and a large bedroom for the kids and thier toys down there as well.

I use the Medusa 5.1 Headphones.

Means I don't disturb my partner when shes watching TV, and the TV doesn't disturb my games.
