Is that external sata? basically you need a sata cable that goes to one of the backplates

For usb2 ebuyer are a quid cheaper

i have the sata drive, the reason i want an external caddy is

1 the internal sata pci thing i have is horrible and i cant make work, and seeing as i just got a laptop i though it would be good to turn it into an external one.

and the laptop doesnt have sata anyway

so sata drive and usb plug

Aria seem to do the same range a little cheaper...

Some users seem to have problems with Firewire so its probably worth avoiding the cost of that option as you don't need it.
