Sony PS3 a price-cut candidate

Due to the shortage of the Blue Ray LED coming to an end, The Sony PS3 may be able to pass the cost savings on the the customer.

If they could cost-reduce the PS3 to the $300 price point, I'd pop for one. Ain't no way I'm poping for it at $500+

If they could put out some decent exclusives for the PS3, I'd pop for one. Ain't no way I'm popping for it just for Resistance.

The ps3 could do with more games full stop, not just exclusive! for my ps3 i have one ps3 game and two ps2 games..
Yes i've had my x360 6 months longer but i have 7 games for that one of which i've purchased in the last week.

I've still just got the two PS3 games, Call of Duty 3, and Resistance: Fall of Man. Also bought GT3, GT4, and several others for PS2. The rest of the games have either been out on the PC for ages, or are naff.

Star Wars: Force Unleashed is going to be a must buy on my shopping list. Gran Turismo 5 when it comes out is also going to be on pre-order. I'm just a mad GT fan from way back on the PS1 (And GT5 better have an E30 M3, an E24 M6, and an E30 Z1, or I'm killing someone).

I saw a preview somewhere of another racing game, that had a focus on 1960-1980s motorsport, which I can't wait to see. Its like Forumla 1, back when F1 involved real men, and real cars, like the Tyrrell P34, Brabham BT52, and BT46 'fan car'. None of that sissy crap that modern F1 racing has devolved into.

I want a motion sensitive Light Saber for the PS3 (Force Unleashed) as well. Star Wars just aint Star Wars unless you're spinning around your living room waving a stick at invisible enemies. (This might even get Gizmo to open his wallet ).

I heard they might drop the price on it, but from what I gather, even with the blue laser yields growing, they're still losing money on every unit they sell. I don't see Sony doing a price drop, especially since they've already lost the first round of the Gen 3 console wars to Nintendo. They're gonna have to wait for some killer app to gain market share lead and the recent announcement that Grand Theft Auto will have exclusive content for XBox360 doesn't bode too well.
