toolbar problam.

iv got this little shortcut on tool bar that keep sending me to a web site plus keep pop up saying system alert iv got a virus iv done a scan and its all
clear how do i get this little thing of my computer. when i play games every few min it gos to the desk top. any help please.....

You've got a BHO (browser helper object) installed. Odds are pretty good you've got some other malware installed as well. It was probably installed as part of some package you downloaded.

Whenever I run into this, I run SpyBot Search and Destroy (you can download version 1.4 from AOAFiles). It generally does a good job of detecting and removing this kind of crap. Make sure you update the malware database and immunize. After you get things cleaned up, I'd suggest using a browser other than IE.

I have had others that spybot will not get. If it does not take care of it, try to find what the name is. Usually it will tell you on the site it takes you to. Let us know. I have had to DL tools to get rid of a couple before.

Some of these boogers are far too resistant to cleaning. Hate the bahstages who build them. How on Earth do they think that you'll like them enough to buy whatever they're selling??
