Hrmph.. Seagate ST380021A or Western Digital WD800BB?? =/

Welp, my 8k7a+ kinda crapped out on me.. so looking to trade my two ibm 40 gig 60gxp drives for either of those in the message title.. anyone have any experiences.. good or bad with either of these? =/ thanks.

I've been running a Seagate for a year now, and have found it perfectly reliable and well worth the money. Seagate 's disk manager software is also pretty good, although I tend to just use FDISK these days............

Yep went with a seagate traded my two 40gb ibm 60gxp's for 1 80 gb seagate.. and snagged a 100gb western digital for $120 bux w00t.. so I'll have a lot of space lol.

Someone had sold em for that cheap on the anandtech boards.. was selling 40gb 60gxp drives for $55 bux a pop too.. sorry I missed that deal hehe

It was only a 100 gig drive.. but from checking out pricewatch.. the price on that one was nice hehe.. I think I had seen it for $179... I think =/. Pretty bad when I find deals I spend $$$ but I'm a cheap skate when buying parts I actually need lol.. I will get that Samsung PC2700 ram soon ... hehe.

Heheh.. yep I have plenty of harddrive space.. lol now need to get ram to replace the sticks I'm giving my bro.. and thinking about getting an 8k3a+ waiting for my 8k7a+ to get rma'd too bad I couldn't just do a trade in hehe
