Given that Microsoft just throws a USB caddie onto the back of a Toshiba HD-DVD drive, I'm not sure I'd consider that manufacturing.

However, the HD-DVD market is really for movies rather than games, so it's hard to say if it'd really hurt the XBox 360.

The PS3 will gain sales but this will not have an effect on the 360 sales?

I guess MS are likely to bring out a Blu-ray drive for the 360.
