The argument for a ghetto projector certainly becomes more compelling......

I upgraded from a 36" panel to a 46" XBR not too long ago, in places where the images move slower or are still, there are some detail quality improvements but for the most part it looks the same.

I got much more enjoyment moving into my Harmon Kardon AVR750 and just about doubling the sound quality in my home theater.

I don't have a 1080p television to compare to, but the jump from 480i to 720p was like night and day for me. Then again, with very little space in my rooms I'm generally sitting very close to my TV.
